On 2/21 & 2/22, Hyannis Resort and Conference Center hosts the Hyannis Half and Hyannis Marathon. Bill Rodgers and Frank Shorter will be there to add to the festivities. There is a pre race pasta party and there will be photo ops and autographs. Hop…
I run to support research and to raise awareness of Sarcoma, an extremely aggressive and rare form of cancer in adults. It accounts for 20% of childhood cancers too. A dear friend of mine was diagnosed at age 32 with this disease and was told he wou…
Hey John, I just may stop by at the Hyannis 1/2 - in fact, I should volanteer for it! I won't be ready to do that one, but it would be fun to participate. I'm actually trying to get more involved with the Arthritis foundation as that is something that affects my family. No matter what purpose we have, they are all worthwhile and good. I wish you much luck in your quest and finding a cure for Sarcoma!
A great morning to you - slow and steady wins the race is our motto. Although it is amazing how on race days, we've been able to do under a 15 minute mile. I am learning how important it is to Just Finish and to ignore the time that ticks away especially during training runs. It's a real growing experience. Are you staying at the Hyannis Resort and going to the pasta dinner? I am very excited to share your website and know we are gonna exceed our fund raising goals. Looking forward to meeting you!
I will share your website on Twitter and send prayers that we exceed our fund raising goals to help improve the lives of others. Let me know if you are going to be in Hyannis. We can meet up. God bless and be well.
Thank you so much John. I did an interview for planetary spirit radio the other day and I talked about when 'we' cross the finish line. The interviewer picked up on the fact that I wasn't just talking about Team McManus but I am running for all the polio and post polio survivors who cannot and for the patients of Spaulding Rehab Hospital. I do hope you will spread the word about our story and consider donating to www.firstgiving.com/teammcmanus. It is a blessing to meet you. I am getting goosebumps reading about what fuels your journey. Are you a veteran? I used to work at the VA as a social worker for many years. God bless and here's to the best 2009 ever!
John, thank you so much for joining the Just Finish Community. Stay tuned for news on how Just Finish plans to help people like you that run and ride for a cause!
Welcome to Just Finish. I respect your passion to train for a cause. Best of luck in 09'

About Me
I train for a purpose. That purpose is to tell everyone I can about Sarcoma. It's a deadly form of Cancer that is rare in adults, but accounts for 20% of child cancers.
A dear friend of mine found he had Sarcoma in 2007 and was told he would probably never run again.
He organized a team and a non-profit organization and we completed many triathlons including the Austin, TX Half Ironman.
So, I train for him. I train for Sarcoma awareness. I train FOR LIFE.
