Still have room for anyone that wants to help at the JUST FINISH/TEAM SANDBAG water stop at the Back to the Beach Half Marathon/10K/5K tomorrow morning at Stony Creek.

Hey Metro-Detroit Runners: I'm trying to finalize volunteers for the water stop at the Back to the Beach Half Marathon (5K/10K too)...please let me know if you'll be able to help. The event is Sunday, May 20th at Stony Creek Metropark and the Just Finish/Team Sandbag stop is used twice by the 5K, twice by the 10K and is the last stop for the half marathoners.

Hey Metro Detoit Runners, got two volunteer opportunities for us to help out at local events:

1) Back to the Beach races on May 20. This will be our 2nd year managing the most visited water stop for all the races. Both the 5K and 10K will come through twice and the half-marathoners will visit us as the last stop on their course.

2) We have the opportunity to manage the last aid station on the Martian Marathon marathon course on April 14. We'll need 10 people and if I get enough interest, I'll raise my hand.

Just Finish will be in charge of one of the last water stops at this Sunday's (9/18/2011) Romeo 2 Richmond Half Marathon. We need a few more awesome people to come on out and help. Anyone interested?

Ok, who's in for this fun run? 

We'll call it the "12Ks of Christmas" and it's taking place at my house in St. Clair Shores. The run will be a 12K, broken up into 1K sections (an out and back from my driveway along the sidewalks with a little loop in a bank parking lot)...after each kilometer, you'll stop and either eat or drink something related to Christmas. And, there will be alcohol involved!

If this sounds like fun (and don't kid yourself, it will be fun!), let me know if you'd like to join me. Also, let me know what day works best for you. I'm thinking this Thursday or maybe next Tuesday...7:30 start.
