I'll be doing my run/walk thing tomorrow morning on the mountain bike trails at Stony Creek. I plan to be out there from 7 to noon, moving forward at a run 5 minutes, walk 5 minutes schedule.

Hey Michigan runners, registration is now open for the Mackinac Bridge Labor Day Run. For those of you who don't know, this is an opportunity to run across the Big Mac before the Bridge Walk on Labor Day. Limited to about 400 runners. You can sign up for the lotto online. To be eligible, you have to have participated in one of the endorsed events in the past year. There is a big list to choose from. I think I did 6, so there are a lot available, both big and small. The web site is http://michiganfitness.org/bridgerun.html. There is a $35 fee, but is well worth it at least once. You do have to be a Michigan resident and able to average 12 minute miles for the about 4.4 miles, not 5; that's a myth.
