Hey Michigan Runners: I'm trying to finalize volunteers for the water stop at the Back to the Beach Half Marathon (5K/10K too)...please let me know if you'll be able to help. The event is Sunday, May 20th at Stony Creek Metropark and the Just Finish/Team Sandbag stop is used twice by the 5K, twice by the 10K and is the last stop for the half marathoners.

I could do the April 14th race.  Had been considering running the May 20th one, but I'm undecided right now.

Hey Michiganders, got two volunteer opportunities for us to help out at local (metro Detroit) events:

1) Back to the Beach races on May 20. This will be our 2nd year managing the most visited water stop for all the races. Both the 5K and 10K will come through twice and the half-marathoners will visit us as the last stop on their course.

2) We have the opportunity to manage the last aid station on the Martian Marathon marathon course on April 14. We'll need 10 people and if I get enough interest, I'll raise my hand.

Jeanne, the race starts at 8:30, which is when we'll start setting up our water station. We're close to the end (mile 11-ish) so we probably won't see runners until an hour or so...should be done and cleaned up by 11:30. Thanks.

What time do you need people?  I might be able to swing Sunday morning and it's certainly time for me to give back a little.
