Hey guys,
I'd like to fold in some speed training to my marathon prep and was just wondering if anyone out there had some good suggestions for a beginner/intermediate speed training program? I am already doing hills once a week so the speed work is really the last piece I need to add . . . I have access to some indoor tracks here in Boston and have heard that doing repeats of varying distances, at different speeds (say 70% of top speed, then 80%, etc.) with short breaks in between runs is good . . . would love to learn more so appreciate any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, websites to check out, etc.
