Just Finish!

A few buddy's and I got out in the freezing rain, snow, or whatever it was this morning in Michigan. We rode the clumpy ol' mtb's for a few miles on the urban single track! Tough to ride with icy roads and trails...a good way to get alot of unwanted boo-boos! We did turn quite a few heads cruisin' down main street along side the city plow trucks ;)

The title says it all. Please respond with a quick post about your ride.

Steve,
Glad to here you are out and about. Do you have an indoor trainer? If so, let me know and we may be able to do a few indoor rides during the grey season!

Todd,
I have rollers and a trainer. I love my rollers! You can stand up, sprint, and they have wheels on the sides of the front roller to keep you from dropping off. The only problem is they take up a ton of room. :(

One of the guys I ride with on Monday's is trying to get a group "indoor" ride together starting in January.

Bren gave me the video "Race Day" for Christmas. It was a blast trying to keep up with Robbie V.

Do you like Race day? It seems like a really cool/fun video.

Yes, I love the video. It is a lot of fun trying to keep up with the crit racers. I like the "stats" bar that shows HR, Power, Cadence, and P-effort.

BRRRRRR - We got out and rode this morning. We had a pretty good group burning off the evil's of New Year's Eve!

We rode from Lexington, MI to Croswell, MI (swinging bridge) and back. This was a casual no drop group ride at a fun casual pace. I think all that made the trip enjoyed themselves.

I agree Todd, great ride this morning. I probably would have been miserable riding by myself at 13 degrees and windy, but being with my buds made it fun. Great way to kick off the new year.

Well, not today, but yesterday. Curt and I did a back road ride in Romeo on the snow covered dirt roads. We got a little over 13 miles in just over an hour. It was a great winter day for a ride here in Michigan, low 30's and sunny with very little wind.

I pedaled the ol' SS around town in the freezing rain. A little slick in spots...just dropped the tire pressure a tad for better traction. I know I'm going to have to set up the trainer indoors sooner or later!

I hate the trainer :(

I stayed in and rode yesterday due to the fresh snow. Dragged the trainer out into the living room so I could watch the Arizona Phili game. Ended up with just over 3 hours on the trainer. Watching the game helped the time go by and the wife helped out by bringing me fresh bottles so I didn't have to get off the bike the entire time.

Thursday night around 10pm, my nephew and I did 16 miles, mostly secondary roads. It seemed as if it was warming up during the last 5 miles. May have made it to 25F. Felt GREAT!

Spent another 90 wonderful minutes on the rollers. Tonight's ride was a mix of tempo and steady state intervals all while watch Thomas the Tank videos with my son :)
