DESCRIPTION:The Ross Bridge 8K is a race experience like no other! Our
  aim is to create a family friendly atmosphere, while at the same time
  conduct a competitive 8K run. A band will be featured at the start/fi
 nish line and delicious Chic-Fil-A biscuts will be available as part o
 f your race registration. Medals will be given away for the top 3 fini
 shers in each age category, plus grand prizes for the top male and fem
 ale. The professionally certified course includes a scenic route start
 ing in the Ross Bridge Village Center, carefully patterned after histo
 ric resort style living of early America, crossing through the six dis
 tinctive neighborhoods of the classic American resort town. The route 
 also takes advantage of just some of the five miles of activity trails
  that criss cross a slice of Civil War era history, with a grand finis
 h at the vintage train station and welcom center! Please join us on Se

 s from the events will benefit Alabama Teen Challenge. For more than 5
 0 years Teen Challenge has been providing quality residential, low cos
 t drug and alcohol recovery programs for individuals of all ages. Alth
 ough many have benefited from their association with the Teen Challeng
 e program, this run is not about those from its 50 year past - It is a
 bout the 19 million Americans who need help with their addiction today
